We had a lovely stay in Casa Verde, which was a perfect, slow-life retreat for the week and a good contrast to our time in Madrid before. We look forward to returning.
Casa Verde is a very comfortable & pleasant holiday home. This was our 2nd time visiting. All the rooms are lovely & it is extremely clean. The communal rooms are light & airy & the layout of the house has been well thought out. I will certainly go back again. The village itself is very friendly & with 3 places to eat , 2 shops, a pharmacy, a bank and a stunning view over the river, it really is quite self contained.
Casa Verde has a great position in the village, looking across the river to Portugal. With lovely touches and loads of space, we felt very spoilt.
We returned to the magical Sanlucar and Casa Verde for a second visit. It did not disappoint. The views from Casa Verde’s terrace of the river and the activities of the boating community enhance that magical experience. Casa Verde is a unique but very comfortable house full of character and charm with modern facilities, including air conditioning. Each bedroom is spacious with its own on-suite facilities. There are many places to visit in the surrounding area, as well as enjoying all that the river has to offer. Sanlucar has a few shops, a pharmacy and several decent restaurants.
We wanted to have a relaxing and quiet festive time and Casa Verde was just perfect. Fireworks at new year – twice – because of the one hour time difference!! and places to eat just a walk away, made for a great time. The sun came out most afternoons and the temperature rose to 18C..deep blue skies and sunshine. A real boost. We will be back!
Casa Verde was so much more than we expected! Lots of space, great character, great beds, great views and a great plunge pool! We can’t wait to come back.
Thank you for another lovely stay at Casa Verde. Our 4th time now. It was fun to use the dinghy to cross the river. We made full use of the garden – a lovely little sun trap. Thank you for this beautiful spot.
We have had a great time here. Casa Verde is well situated and beautifully appointed. The view from the terrace of the river and Alcoutim is stunning.
Thank you so so much for one of our favourite holidays ever in Casa Verde! We enjoyed the many lovely nooks and crannies of the house and La La Land was a massive hit on the outdoor projector/cinema. The kayaks, zipwire, swimming and bar hopping are all invaluable memories. We loved visiting Portugal. Thank you for your local wisdom and kindness.
Spacious, quirky and with great views. Casa Verde is a lovely village house. We loved the plunge pool – in it every day, and the outside shower. We’ll be back please!
