We had a blissful week in Casa Verde. We all relished the peace and quiet, fabulous views, wonderful flower filled walks (or runs in our son’s case!), beach bar drinks, ferry rides across to Alcoutim. We luxuriated on the sun loungers and cooled down in the pool. The weather was hot between 29C and 32C every day! We will be back! Thank you for sharing this wonderful, well equipped house.
Casa Verde is a unique property in a delightful Spanish village. Our visit was the perfect way to experience the local area and along the river. The Casa was beautifully decorated and fitted out by Val and John. Everything was very clean and well thought through. We enjoyed visiting the bars and restaurants both in the village and a water taxi’s drive away in Alcoutim, across the river. A visit to the village shop is a must, as is a hair raising trip across the river on the zip wire!!
Casa Verde provided a comfortable expansive base and Sanlucar the sleepy, off the beaten track location we were looking for. Jak greeted us and ensured we were fully looked after. There are excellent local walks and restaurants that provide plenty of choice. We’ve being staying at Welcome Escapes’ properties for 15 years knowing that we will always find a high standard of accommodation and customer service.
Another lovely stay at Casa Verde. Love the village and the padel court and the petanca. Great walks up and down the river. Lots to explore and a lovely house to relax in.
We have had a ball here!! Just what we needed. Casa Verde is spacious and quirky with loads of space for everyone. 4 ensuites and 4 bedrooms really make a difference! And so does bright sunny days with blue skies and c19C in the afternoons. Christmas tree and other decorations made it for us. Thank you. Can’t wait to return and explore more.
Casa Verde was just what we were looking for! Spacious, comfortable, characterful! Such a relaxing place. We are already looking at May next year…

Casa Verde sits in a beautiful village, overlooking the river and with views to Portugal. The walks are great and we hired kayaks and bikes for further exploring. Can’t wait to return.
Casa Verde is beautiful, clean, had everything. Every detail is thought out for you to have the best stay possible. Jak greeted us with a smile and was attentive at all times. Highly recommended, we will be back.
What a find! We’ve had a lovely week taking in the views! Swimming and lunch over in Alcoutim, the new village pool is fabulous. We enjoyed ‘sun downers’ in the river cafe. Lots of places in the house to sit and read and relax. Would love to return and enjoy more walking. Thank you.
